Warm yourself by a roaring fire in winter, or head onto the sun terrace for magnificent views of the hotel’s gardens in warmer months. You and a lucky friend will enjoy a delicious selection of warm scones with clotted cream and jam, delicate finger sandwiches with a variety of fillings and a sumptuous array of homemade pastries and cakes. What happens on the day?
On arrival at Bovey Castle, you’ll be greeted and shown to your pre-booked table where your afternoon tea will be served. Afternoon tea is available in any of the hotel’s public areas, with the Cathedral Room and Adam Room proving to be the most popular locations. Head out onto the South Terrace if the weather is good and you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the entire estate while you dine.
Your traditional afternoon tea for two includes:
- Homemade warm scones with clotted cream and jam
- Delicate finger sandwiches (contents vary according to season)
- Homemade pastries and cakes
- Selection of fine teas
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult
- A maximum of 2 vouchers to be booked at any one time
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher. All bookings are subject to availability.
Afternoon Tea is served between 14.00 and 16.30 Monday to Friday. Please allow 1 hour 30 minutes.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
How it works
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
