Learn the art of silver jewellery-smithing with an award-winning jeweller and create your own bespoke ring or pendant at Cockington Court, a beautiful stately home by the Devon sea. With no more than three people per class, all skill levels are catered for, and you’ll get as much guidance as you need.
Start your day learning skills such as saw piercing and soldering, before tucking into a delicious homemade lunch. Then it’s on to the business of silver work and creating your own ring or pendant. Practice metal forming, texturing and polishing, before heading home with your finished piece and plenty of tips to continue the creativity in future.

What happens on the day?
Your day takes place in an award-winning jeweller’s craft studio in the beautiful grounds of Cockington Court, a stately home by the Devon seaside. You’ll spend the morning getting to grips with basic jewellery smithing skills such as soldering and saw piercing, before taking a break to enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch and browse the craft centre.
In the afternoon, you can put your newfound knowledge to the test as you design and create your own ring or pendant. With no more than three people in your class, you can rest assured you’ll be given plenty of helpful guidance to get the most out of your day. Explore metal forming, texturing and polishing, and come away with your own bespoke, unique piece of jewellery that you can give as an unforgettable gift or simply treasure forever.
Your voucher is valid for 9 months from the date of issue, while government restrictions apply in relation to Covid-19 we are offering free extensions on all experiences so you can take your experience when the time is right.
- Minimum age: 12 (under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult)
- There is no wheelchair access to the workroom which is upstairs

This one day group session takes place Monday and Friday any time of year. Exclusions may apply.
Saturday availability may incur an additional charge
We recommend you book well advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow 7 hours for the full experience. The days starts at 10.30 and finishes at 17.30.
Please note that Bella will be relocating to Devon at the end of March 2018. If you are looking to take this experience in April or later months, you will need to travel to Devon.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
How it works
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
