Reach for the skies with this experience and do something unusual with your spare time. Feel the thrill of taking the controls in your own aircraft and receive one to one training from a Civil Aviation Authority licensed instructor. This extended lesson will take you through everything you need to know as a beginner to light aircraft flying. Enjoy the 40-60 minutes flight time you’ll have and at many of the venues you'll receive a certificate at the end of your experience. To make things even better, your flying time actually counts towards your Private Pilot’s licence.
What's Included?
- Introduction to flying, aircraft controls and safety
- One-to-one training from a CAA licensed instructor in a two-seater aircraft
- One flight of 40 to 60 minutes
- Experience gift pack including personalised voucher and message card
What happens on the day?
Your extended flying lesson starts with a briefing from your instructor which will cover safety, and an introduction to some of the controls. Then it’s over to your aircraft where you will be handed a pair of headphones so that you can hear the conversation between your instructor and air traffic control, as well as enabling you to communicate with your pilot. Once in the air, you will be able to take the controls and will be guided through the flight by your qualified instructor. Not to worry about landing though, as this is usually carried out by the pilot who will land the plane and taxi back. You’ll then receive a de-briefing and your certificate of flight (depending on location).
