What happens on the day?

On arrival at Charnwood Forest, you will be warmly welcomed by the team ready for your horse trek to begin. The experience will start with a short introduction before the two of you take part in a 50 minute session of off-road hacking, riding a horse each in a light exercise. The handlers will accompany you throughout to ensure you get the most out of your day. After the ride, the two of you can enjoy a delicious afternoon tea.

Participant guidelines

• Minimum age: 8. Under 16's need to be accompanied by a participating rider ages 18 or over.
• Maximum weight: 14 stone
• We cannot allow anyone to walk alongside the horses. 
• No experience is needed 

• This Experience includes walking around farm tracks which may be rough, bumpy and muddy - not suitable for wheelchairs, push-chairs or walking aids.

Availability

Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.  Please book and take your experience before the expiry date.

The experience is available - Friday, Saturday and Sunday (exclusions may apply) 

We recommend you book at least  4 weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Please allow up to 3 hours for the full experience - this includes, registration, introduction, feedback and afternoon tea.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
