Spend an afternoon meeting, handling and learning about some of nature’s most awe-inspiring predators with this Introduction to Eagle Handling experience.

You’ll get to handle four different species from Eagle Heights’ collection, and though it depends which birds are feeling best on the day you’ll get to meet species such as the Bataleur, Steppe and maybe even the Steller’s Sea Eagle – one of the biggest eagles in the world!

Make sure you bring along a camera to capture these amazing birds in action. This experience also includes entry to the rest of Eagle Heights Wildlife Park so you can meet the other animals and birds that live in the sanctuary. Learn something new this year and handle some fearsome hunters in the West Kent countryside.

What's Included?

  • Meet and handle four different species of eagle in the picturesque Kent countryside
  • Learn about the natural behaviours of each bird from an expert bird handler
  • Entry for one to explore Eagle Heights Birds of Prey Centre and Wildlife Park
  • Complimentary tea and cake at the end of the experience
  • Experience gift pack including personalised voucher and message card

What happens on the day?

On arrival you’ll be given a brief introduction before getting to meet the four different species of eagle that you’ll get to handle on the experience.

You’ll be taught about the natural behaviours of each bird before flying and handling them, and with an expert bird handler on hand at all times you can ask lots of questions about the eagles you’ll handle and the rest of the park’s raptors. Cameras are welcome so you can take advantage of the numerous photo opportunities and capture a perfect shot of an eagle in action, and at the end of the experience you can retire to the Eagle Heights tearoom for complimentary tea and cake while you review your snaps.

"Absolutely incredible"

What a wonderful experience. Up close and personal with a Sea Eagle,Golden Eagle, African Tawney Eagle and a Stellers Sea Eagle.
All magnificent birds and expertly introduced and handled by Kevin who was great throughout.
Two hours spent in the close company of some wonderful birds and then the opportunity to see some of the rest of the over 100 other raptors and rescued animals at the EHWF
