Discover the secrets to mastering the iconic French macaron, with a fun filled class from the Good Housekeeping Institute’s very own Cooking School in central London.
Roll up your sleeves as you learn fool-proof techniques for making these timeless treats, mastering Italian meringue, guaranteeing perfectly smooth shells and those much-desired ruffled feet. You’ll follow GH Triple-Tested recipes under the tutelage of industry-leading experts.
With all equipment included, some of the skills you’ll learn will include: colouring the batter, piping shells and classic French fillings.

What happens on the day?
On arrival 15 minutes before your scheduled start time, you’ll be greeted by a member of the Cooking School team, who’ll get you set up ready for your experience.
Using the best ingredients, you’ll get to grips with all the processes that go into making perfect macarons – following a recipe Triple-Tested by the Good Housekeeping team.
Lasting approximately 3 hours you’ll be able to take every delicious morsel home with you.
Your voucher is valid for 9 months from the date of issue, while government restrictions apply in relation to Covid-19 we are offering free extensions on all experiences so you can take your experience when the time is right.
- Minimum age:13 (under16s need to be accompanied by a paying adult)
- Classes are limited to a maximum of 10 students
- Classes are suitable for all levels
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
The experience is available on selected Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
If your booking is cancelled due to low numbers (minimum group size is four) alternative dates will be offered.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
How it works
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
