Get away from it all and discover some of the very best the Lake District has to offer with a night at the Ennerdale Country House Hotel, and a ride on a vintage railway with a cream tea for two.
Your Grade II listed hotel accommodation is packed with character and set amongst five acres of landscaped gardens and Italian fountains. The stunning Lake District and the best of the West Coast is right on your doorstep, so you’re perfectly placed to explore. As part of your experience, you’ll receive a £25 dinner allowance each for use in the hotel’s Fountain Room Restaurant.
Take a steam-powered 14-mile train ride out on one of the oldest narrow-gauge railways in England. Now over 100 years old, the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway has heaps of history running through its seven miles of surprisingly tiny tracks. Soak in the scenery as you wind along the rivers Esk and Mite. At either end of your journey, you can enjoy a cream tea for two in the Turntable or Fellbites Café.
