Had a lovely time not far to travel easy parking
Had spa day and afternoon tea but with refurbishments going on the spa was awful - dirty, water all over floors, closed off areas - this should have been mentioned on booking. However on the plus side the afternoon tea was lovely and set in a bright sunny room.
Booking at the venue was a challenging - getting through on the numbers given and then talking to the right people. Once that was done and we arrived it was a great afternoon, The hotel was to a very high standard, as was the restaurant and afternoon tea.The spa element was nice but it was essentially just a pool which was very busy. We used the gym facilities as well which were good. Overall recommended - particularly in terms of value for money.
Staff very friendly and welcoming. Pool pleasant and cafe area nice for a snack. Afternoon tea in beautiful room. Enough beds to rest and conservatory area with comfy chairs
Barnsdale Hall Hotel
Beautiful setting in Rutland, close to Rutland Water.
Delicious cream tea for two.
Disappointing Spa Day. No towels or bathrobes. Limited Facilities.
