"Next to noisy people"

Afternoon tea was ok, but surroundings were very poor. The table next to us had a very loud job interview being conducted that drowned out everyone else. We made them aware, but they didn’t stop or move. We made the hotel management aware too & they said they couldn’t do anything about it

"Disappointing experience"

Our “Experience” was a gift and the person who gave us the gift is embarrassed that we had such a disappointing time.
The anticipation of an Afternoon Tea made by professionals was soon lost after the first bite on one of the three sandwiches put in front of us to share.
The outstanding memory is the layer of margarine (?) on each which certainly left its taste.
Scones were reasonable although the shop bought jam was definitely low budget. Miniature meringue .......I could go on but no room!

"Friendly staff"

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with ample parking. We had to wait a while before being seated in a lovely room overlooking the garden terrace. The tables were set with starched white linen and all looked promising. Sadly the afternoon tea itself did not live up to expectations. Everything was mediocre, 3 varieties of sandwiches, clotted cream scones and little cakes that did not look very appetizing, we didn't try them. What a shame!
