What happens on the day?
This experience allows you to begin your journey at any of the stations listed. You will have unlimited ‘hop on, hop off’ travel onboard a West Somerset Railway train throughout your day. Most of the trains feature a buffet car selling a variety of light refreshments, a large number of which are locally produced so you can enjoy a snack before visiting the next station.
The West Somerset Railway is a true country branch line of the old Great Western Railway. The historic steam locomotives, coaches and wagons of these magnificent trains make them a truly special way to travel. While most of the trains are hauled by steam locomotives, there are a few with are hauled by Heritage Diesels, so your experience will be steeped in railway history.
Pass through or hop off at any of the unique stations linked by the 20 mile scenic journey. The surrounding countryside is as varied as it is beautiful including the gently rolling hills of Quantock and the cliffs and coast of the Bristol Channel with views of distant South Wales.

- Passengers in wheelchairs can be accommodated in the trains. Please let the supplier know as space is limited and seats will need to be booked in advance
- Disabled persons accessible toilets are available at Bishops Lydeard, Crowcombe Heathfield, Stogumber Watchet and Minehead stations and are available in the Lorna Doone train carriage which can be booked in advance. Toilets are available on all trains

Trains run at regular intervals throughout the year, with limited services during January, February and November. Please contact the supplier for more information and an up-to-date timetable.

What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
